January Events in Gatlinburg

The first month of the year hosts an array of Gatlinburg activities that involve spiritual enlightenment for various age groups. These include the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention (TCTC) from January 6 to 8, the Crossroads Ministries from the 13th to the 16th, Resurrection from January 13 to 22, and Accelerant from the 26th to the 29th. Speaking of sports, the Tennessee Winter Special Olympics is one of the most awaited annual Gatlinburg attractions that both visitors and locals eagerly anticipate. To be held over a span of three days (January 29th to 31st) at the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, this very special event involves athletes competing for medals in a variety of winter sports, namely alpine skiing, snowboarding, and speed skating. The athletes are grouped according to their abilities.
