July may be a relatively busy month but contains one very special holiday that will have people entertained from morning ‘til night. The 4th of July is celebrated all throughout the country, and that includes the city of Gatlinburg. With three Gatlinburg attractions scheduled, the festivities kick off with the 4th of July Midnight Parade that will have people gathering the day before. During the day, families can join in the free River Raft Regatta that will have them paddling their way along the Little Pigeon River. The day ends with the 4th of July Fireworks Show.

Combine arts and crafts with music, and one will find another interesting Gatlinburg activity – the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. Scheduled from July 20th to 29th at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, demonstrations showcase the talents behind the wonderful creations on sale, plus live music for all to enjoy.

Gatlinburg celebrates Independence Day in style with a two day festival highlighting our armed services. Members of the U.S. Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard will appear in the parade. Vintage military vehicles, local area public safety agencies, and lots more will participate.

Gatlinburg’s River Raft Regatta

Gatlinburg will feature a fun-filled 4th of July celebration with the always-spirited River Raft Regatta. The event will begin at 10 am at the Christ in the Smokies Bridge on River Road. Anything floatable can be entered, and prizes will be awarded to the top three places in different divisions.
