Summer Events in Gatlinburg

Welcome to Gatlinburg Tennessee, the home of many amazing summer Gatlinburg events! Take a walk down the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg and enjoy one of Gatlinburg’s premier shows. The Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales features costumed musical performers, artisans, and storytellers portraying different time periods from the 1800s to today. Every night of the event, a horse-drawn wagon will take the performers to their locations and share their stories and skill. Many of the acts will involve the audience. This festival lasts for two days. The Fourth of July Midnight Parade offers a whole lot of excitement at midnight. You have lighted floats, live marching bands, helium balloons and much more. The party starts on July 4th at 12:01AM – it’s the first Independence Day parade in the country every year. Many people take part on the competitive River Raft Regatta. You can enter anything that will float down the river in this race, and prizes will be judged accordingly. This river raft is going to take you through many fine Gatlinburg attractions including Christ of the Smokies Bridge and Ripley’s Aquarium. It takes place on July 4th at the Little Pigeon River.
