May Events in Gatlinburg
Several exciting Gatlinburg attractions await everyone during the month of May. The 5th of May actually has two special events worth paying attention to – the Gatlinburg Gateway Triathlon and the Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The annual triathlon takes endurance to a new level while Cinco de Mayo celebrates Hispanic traditions.
The five-month-long Farmers Market begins on May 19 and serves as a great platform for local producers to present their healthy offerings to the residents and visitors of Gatlinburg. Considered one of the most popular Gatlinburg events each year, the market is open every Saturday for its entire duration.
Another event to check out is the Mountain Hounds Weekend from May 31 to June 3. Retired racing greyhounds and their owners join forces to bring greater attention to the plight of this particular breed and its need for rescue. Like several other Gatlinburg activities, this supports a very worthy cause.
