April Events in Gatlinburg

The month of April is so chockfull of Gatlinburg events that visitors may find themselves torn as to which one they should go to first! The Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show showcases the beautiful handcrafted creations of the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. This lasts from April 5 to 7.

As a tribute to the servicemen and servicewomen of our country, the Annual Mountain Man Memorial March is one of the most meaningful Gatlinburg activities that one may choose to participate in. Members of the military and civilians can join this marathon march and run scheduled on the 20th and 21st.

Some of the other Gatlinburg attractions to look forward to include the Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament, the Easter Sunrise Service at Ober Gatlinburg, the Smoky Mountain Regional Bridge Conference, and the Food Ministry Fiesta, the Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage, the Ribfest, Wings & BBQ, and Walk on the North Side.

The 13th Annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is the largest trout tournament in the Smokies. The event is open to both adults and children and will feature multiple categories that will be judged accordingly. This is a unique Gatlinburg event that is both challenging and fun.

Smoky Mountain MABC Regional Bridge Tournament

The Smoky Mountain Regional Bridge Tournament is the largest regional bridge tournament in the United States. The event will feature over 9,500 tables and 1,000 card tables in play. Bridge players will also have the chance to explore Gatlinburg, a popular year-round family-friendly vacation destination that hosts more than 10 million visitors a year and serves as the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Mountain Man Memorial March

Mountain Man Memorial March

The Mountain Man Memorial March is a 26 mile march in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The event will take place on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 to pay tribute to those who fight for our freedom. The event pays tribute to 1st Lt. Frank Walkup, a University of Tennessee alumnus who was killed in the line of duty in 2007 in Iraq.
